Care for you new Mattress

Thank you for preferring Napcat products.

We, at Napcat have taken utmost care, meticulously designed, used the most competent raw materials, adhered to best standards of production and followed stringent quality control measures to make our mattresses a delight to our customers. The said measures will prevent the mattress from sagging and sinking, and more importantly – provide comfort to you for a for a long period of time. Feeling discontented? We are here to help you out!

However, as and when you start owning your mattress, we recommend the following simple measures that will guarantee its longevity.
1) Make sure your mattress is properly supported. Use a sturdy bed frame with adequate centre support that will prevent bowing or breakage. The mattress needs adequate support for the complete base, so that the pressure applied from the top does not have gaps to sink in. Place the mattress on any flat surface like floor, on a carpet etc.
2) Rotate the mattress regularly. This is to ensure that a person sleeps on different parts of the mattress to even out the pressure. If the mattress you bought has a good mattress core that allows you to sleep on either side, you should flip-over and sleep on the other side once a while to extend the lifespan of the mattress. Toss & Guardian can be completely flipped. Hybrid Siesta would require a 180 degree rotation every 3 months.
3) Airing the mattress is necessary. Provide proper ventilation in the room. Remove all the bed linen and the mattress protector and leave it open for a couple of hours with the fan on. Do not place the mattress under direct sunlight.
4) Use a mattress protector which can be removed and washed and see to it that covers the entire mattress and all its side, so that any unforeseen spilling of water, liquids or beverages does not penetrate into it.
5) Wash bed linens regularly, if it is removable and washable. Dust mites multiply easily in bedding and mattresses. These can trigger year-round allergies with unpleasant symptoms.
6) Mattresses are purchased for sleeping only. Avoid having snacks / beverages sitting on your bed.
7) Avoid jumping on the mattress. Jumping on the mattress cause deformation. This action will wear down the foam and also the spring tension will collapse.
8) Do not let pets snuggle on your bed / avoid playing with pets on the bed. Most pets have sharp nails, which will damage the minute stitching and tear the top layers, exposing the foam and other underlying material causing early degradation.
9) While transporting your mattress, package it scrupulously to prevent damages. While shifting residences either within the same locality or on a long haul, ensure the mattress is wrapped with adequate packaging material to reduce chances of damage due to numerous handling during loading and unloading.
10) Follow manufacturer’s instructions on cleaning the mattress. Every type of mattress should be cleaned regularly to keep your sleep environment clean and keep your mattress healthy. Please follow the manufacturer’s directions for stain removal and general cleaning. Stains can be spot treated with a mild water and soap solution, but allow them to completely dry before making the bed. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on foams as they can break down foam integrity.
Depending on dust levels, allergies, or personal preference, vacuuming should be done every 1 to 3 months and stains spot-treated as necessary.
